El Dorado, KS (Crime Library) — A missing Kansas college student, who police say led a double life as an Internet porn star, disappeared from a local bar last Friday and is believed to be the victim of foul play.
Close friends and family members knew her as 18-year-old Emily Sander, a straight-laced student from Butler Community College; however, over 30,000 subscribers of her adult website knew her more intimately as "Zoey Zane," a rising porn star on the World Wide Web who demanded a $39.95 monthly membership fee to bare her flesh.

According to police, Emily was last seen on the night of November 23 leaving the Retreat bar in El Dorado with a man they have identified as 24-year-old Israel Mireles, a man she is believed to have met that same night.
When Mireles failed to show up for his job at an Italian restaurant the following day, his employer decided to pay him a visit at the motel where he was staying. When the motel manager opened the room, it appeared as though an altercation had taken place inside the room, prompting him to notify police.
"His motel room was found to appear in great disarray and a large quantity of blood was found in the room," El Dorado Police Chief Tom Boren told KCTV5.com, adding, "Bed clothing was found to be missing."

As police searched Mireles's room for clues, they received word that Emily was missing. Further investigation uncovered the details connecting Emily to Mireles, and her car was later found in the parking lot of the bar where she was last seen. Concerned for the young woman's safety, police launched a nationwide manhunt for Mireles.

Investigators soon learned Mireles had rented a 2007 Ford Taurus earlier on Saturday and had traveled to Baxter Springs where he picked up his pregnant girlfriend, 16-year-old Victoria Martens. On Tuesday, police in Texas discovered the rental car abandoned in Vernon, about 50 miles northwest of Wichita Falls. Texas authorities impounded the vehicle and examined it for forensic evidence. What, if anything, was found is not yet known. Also, on Tuesday, police released a photo of a floral design bedspread found missing from Mireles's motel room and asked for the public's help in locating it.
