"I want the person to be dead in less than 2 minutes"
An Ohio woman is charged with soliciting a hit man to kill a random person wearing fur. Federal authorites say animal rights activist Meredith Lowell, 27, created a Facebook page under the alias "Anne Lowery." On the page, investigators say, Lowell offered between $830 and $850 for the hit. A member of the FBI began emailing back and forth with Lowell, and she a allegedly offered him $730 to kill a victim "preferably 14 years or older" According to an FBI affidavit, Lowell wrote "You need to bring a gun that has a silencer on it and that can be easily concealed in your pants pocket or coat. ... If you do not want to risk the possibility of getting caught with a gun before the job, bring a sharp knife that is (at least) 4 inches long, it should be sharp enough to stab someone and/or slit their throat to kill them. I want the person to be dead in less than 2 minutes." The affidavit also contains copies of emails in which Lowell wrote that liberating animals from farms and labs is comparable to liberating "people from Nazi camps in World War 2."
