Psychics Arrested
Tammy Mitchell
Tammy Mitchell
Tammy Mitchell has a long rap sheet and a long list of aliases. After being convicted in New Jersey, the phony psychic set up shop in midtown Manhattan, where she ensnared a former Wall Street trader by telling him his family was cursed. The victim began by handing over $400 for candles, and was $200,000 poorer after his first week of sessions with Mitchell. Mitchell even flew out to Wyoming to rid his home of bad spirits; a home he had refinanced to pay her. In total, the victim lost nearly half a million dollars. Another victim gave Mitchell $40,000 and cosigned a car lease for her. Mitchell pleaded guilty to two counts of grand larceny and was sentenced to a minimum of two years, but was released early for good behavior.
