Psychics Arrested
Nancy Marks
Nancy Marks
According to police in Boulder, Colo., self-professed psychic Nancy Marks, 54, told her clients that their money was "evil" and that she needed to take possession of it to cleanse it. Believing Marks' claim that she could prevent bad things from happening, one client gave her as much as $240,000. Marks, who also allegedly asked clients to give her their credit card numbers so she could make sure they didn't contain too many sixes, was arrested in May 2010 after an investigation that began when former clients complained to police. Marks was charged with two counts of theft over $20,000 and one count of criminal impersonation.
