Psychics Arrested
Madame Vivian
Madame Vivian
Going by the trade name Madame Vivian, Bunny Ann John of Santa Clara County, Calif., defrauded her clients out of more than $800,000 by using a scheme common to unscrupulous psychics. She told clients the only way to rid them of a dark curse was to give her their money and valuables so that she could have them blessed at a Russian Orthodox church. John, predictably, did not return what she took, and was charged with two counts of felony grand theft. She pleaded no contest to both counts in June 2010, facing a sentence of up to two years in prison.
