RICHMOND, Va. (Crime Library) -- Perhaps Fawley, who claimed that he had not been taking his medication that night for his bi-polar disorder and told police that he had been drinking heavily, pressed Taylor to resume her intimate relationship with him. If she resisted, like a number of young women before her, he could have turned violent once again — this time with deadly consequences.

The bizarre trip to Mathews County in the middle of the night in Taylor's car, probably bearing stolen license plates to deter identification by anyone looking for Taylor or her car, only makes sense if it was to transport Taylor's body, wrapped in a plastic bag Fawley acquired from his residence. From visits with a former girlfriend, he was very familiar with the isolated, remote area adjacent to her parents' property. It could have been, in Fawley's mind, a perfect place to hide Taylor 's remains. After all, her body was only discovered through the diligent work of the Richmond task force in cooperation with Fawley's ex-girlfriend. Fawley, an amateur photographer, had taken photos of that property and put them on the Internet, making it possible for investigators to show the photos of the Mathews County site to the former girlfriend, which led to the discovery of Taylor 's remains.

Pelasara called Fawley "a big, fat liar" after Taylor 's funeral on Friday.

"It is apparent that my daughter died a violent and unspeakable death at the hands of Ben Fawley that night and was not a willing participant," Pelasara said.
