ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Last week the bodies of four women were found behind a motel in West Atlantic City.  According to Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey S. Blitz, the women were all lined up, with their heads pointing in the same direction.  Authorities have now identified three of those women.  Kim Raffo, 35, Tracy Ann Roberts, 23, and Barbara V. Breidor, 42, all of whom have arrest records for prostitution.  Authorities have assigned 22 investigators to the case, which has led many to believe a serial killer is stalking Atlantic City prostitutes.

Danny Harold Rolling

ORLANDO, Fla. — Convicted murderer John Huggins' death sentence appeal was delayed today, after the presiding judge found him mentally unfit to take part in his appeal.  Huggins was convicted of killing Carla Larson in 1997.  During his trial he claimed God and his television commanded him to kill.  Carla's husband, Jim recently witnessed the execution of Danny Harold Rolling, who murdered his sister, Sonya Larson, in Aug. 1990.

WICHITA, Kan. — Last month a jury awarded 1.1 million dollars to Roger Valadez, after they ruled a Wichita television station had defamed him two years ago, when they named him as a possible suspect in the BTK serial murders.  The verdict was pending appeal.  Nonetheless, Valadez will never see the money, as he died of an apparent heart attack today.

SWAZI, South Africa — The trial of alleged serial killer David Simelane is set to resume today.  Simelane, who is suspected of killing over 30 women and children, is said to be the worst serial killer Africa has ever seen.  While he was initially cooperative with investigators, going so far as to lead them to several bodies, Simelane has since decided to plead innocent to the 34 murders he is accused of committing.  Authorities believe that number to be much higher, however they have been unable to link him to any other unsolved murders.
