SHREVEPORT, LA— Police allege that while in custody for suspicion of killing and dismembering an 85-year-old man, Eric Mickelson, 38, confessed to his involvement in six other homicides, including the 1996 unsolved murder of Kristi O'pry, 26.  According to Mickelson's confession, he murdered Kristi and then dumped her body in a ravine in Greenwood near the American Rose Center.  Initial, renewed searches of the area have been unsuccessful; however, investigators maintain that they will continue searching until they have found her body or completed a thorough search of the area.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Employees at LA's Twin Towers jail told reporters this week that convicted serial killer Chester D. Turner, 41, had tried to start up a pen-pal relationship with Paris Hilton during the socialite's recent incarceration at the facility for conviction of DUI.  In a letter leaked to the press this week, Turner allegedly told Paris that he was a "huge fan" and requested her friendship, promising to share all of his "dreams and secrets."  Regardless, a media spokesperson for Paris has assured the media that she has no intention of corresponding with Turner.  Last week, Superior Court Judge William R. Pounders upheld a jury's recommendation and sentenced Turner to death for the murders of 10 women and a fetus between 1987 and 1998.

PARKCITY, KA — Mary Capps is back in the news again.  For those of you unfamiliar with her, Capps worked under BTK serial killer Dennis Rader, 62, for seven years as a park compliance officer for Park City.  Following Rader's arrest, Capps sought media attention regarding the "emotional trauma" she allegedly suffered working with Rader.  In November 2006, U.S. District Judge Wesley Brown threw out a gender discrimination lawsuit Capps filed, claiming that she had felt threatened by Rader when the two worked together.  Brown ruled the suit was not filed within the legal statute of limitations.  Now, Capps is again in the media, this time for a new book she has written, entitled "My Boss Was the BTK Killer."  A must-read, I'm sure.
