INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (Crime Library)  — "I'm Heather.  Completely laid back.  Love good friends.  Love good people.  Are there locks on all doors?  If you're looking for an open book, look no further.  I am yours. Talk to me, I will talk back."

That's how 20-year-old Heather Norris described herself on her MySpace.com profile.  On April 24, Heather's mother, Deborah Norris, filed a missing persons report with police.  In it, she said that she last heard from her daughter two weeks prior in a text message she had received from her.

When police were unable to locate Heather or her car, they began to suspect foul play.  At the top of their list of suspects was Heather's estranged boyfriend, 23-year-old Joshua Bean.  Police say the couple had a stormy three-year relationship that included several domestic violence incidents.  In fact, Bean was supposed to go to trial in June for an incident from 2006 in which he allegedly gave Heather a concussion.

The earliest police report filed pertaining to the couple was in November 2005 when Heather told police that Bean had assaulted her at a house in the 8000 block of Briarwood Drive.  Heather said Bean had put her in a headlock and forced her to the ground.  In response to her allegations, Bean told police Heather had punched him and that he was only defending himself.

Six months later, in May 2006, Heather's mother called an ambulance because Heather had overdosed on OxyContin, a prescription pain medication.  When paramedics and police arrived on the scene, Deborah told them that her daughter had been depressed over her boyfriend.
