"We can't even consider returning home at the moment." Kate said yesterday. "I absolutely can't even let it enter my head." As her voice trailed off, Gerry added, "Until there is concrete evidence to the contrary, we believe Madeleine is safe and is being looked after and that is how we can continue in our efforts."

Since Madeleine's disappearance, celebrities and businesspeople have raised a reward for information leading to her whereabouts. The reward, which has been reported by Fox News as totaling $5.1 million dollars, includes pledges from England footballer Wayne Rooney, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, Virgin chief Richard Branson, tycoon Sir Richard Branson, and American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
