Investigators Search for Leads in Death of Suspect's Wife

Meanwhile, authorities in Washington County, Pa., an area south of Pittsburgh that Gray called home, are still probing the Nov. 5 slaying of Gray's wife. Authorities say 35-year-old Treva Gray had been strangled and beaten. The attack occurred just five days after Dandridge had been released from prison after serving time for robbery and weapons charges. Authorities in Washington County have told Crime Library that Gray is a "person of interest" in his wife's slaying.

Dandridge and Gray were arrested Saturday after a brief struggle at a relative's Philadelphia home. Charged with conspiracy to commit murder, the two men waived extradition and were returned to Richmond Monday.

Harvey family

Authorities in Richmond have said they have evidence linking the men to both the New Year's Day massacre of the Harvey family — all four members of the family were found bound with tape in their burning basement, and all of their throats had been slit — as well as to the slayings of three members of another Richmond family. Percyell Tucker, Mary Baskerville Tucker and her daughter, Ashley Baskerville, were found slain in their home on Jan. 6. As in the Harvey case, all the victims had been bound with tape.

Richmond police have not confirmed reports published in the Richmond Times-Dispatch citing sources and witnesses who contend that a woman matching Ashley Baskerville's description may have been an accomplice in the Harvey slaying and may also have been involved in a Chesterfield County home invasion in which Gray and Dandridge are also suspects.
