Richmond, Va. (Crime Library) - Leads continue to trickle in as the investigation into the New Year's Day massacre of rocker Bryan Harvey and his family enters its fifth day, but so far, authorities have declined to say whether they are closing in on a list of possible suspects.
"Everything is still under investigation," said Richmond police spokeswoman Kirsten Nelson. Among other things, authorities are investigating reports from friends and acquaintances that the former House of Freaks front man and his wife, Kathryn may have recently come into conflict with a former friend of one of their relatives.
Authorities have declined to discuss the tips, and have given no indication whether they have yielded valuable information, but several friends of the Harvey family have told police that the Harveys may have tried to intervene in the strained relationship between one relative and a former friend.
Investigators have said that they are mining all of the Harveys ' relationships, personal as well as business, in an effort to solve the slaying. The couple, along with their two young daughters, Stella, 9 and Ruby, 4, were found dead New Year's Day in the basement of their burning house. All four had been bound with tape and their throats had been slit.
