"Sure, they had their moments—but don't we all?" said a classmate of Jasmine in an interview with Telegraph.co.uk. "They were just like any of us. They got in trouble sometimes and I know Jasmine was not happy about having to live with her mum while her sister was with her dad, but they were both lovely people."
According to a Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman, investigators are reviewing the girls' Internet accounts for possible clues in their murders.

"Officers will, as part of their detailed investigation into the girls' background, be looking into Internet sites, including Bebo, that were used by the girls," she told the Cambridge Evening News. "They will be investigating what has been said on them and what various people have been posting."

Last week Kumari-Baker was charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of her two daughters. According to police, Kumari-Baker called a friend on the morning of June 13 and said that something was wrong at her house. The exact content of the conversation has not been made public; however, whatever was said was important enough for the friend to alert the police.

At about 8:00 a.m., officers with the Cambridgeshire Police Department arrived at Kumari-Baker's three-bedroom home in Stretham. When they entered the home they discovered the bodies of 16-year-old Davina Michelle Baker and her sister, 13-year-old Jasmine, in an upstairs bedroom. Following the discovery of the bodies, police arrested Kumari-Baker on suspicion of murder and took her to police headquarters for questioning.
On Saturday Kumari-Baker appeared before Peterborough Magistrates Court. She did not enter a plea and spoke only to confirm her name, age, and address. Afterward she was remanded back into custody. The case will be heard at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday, June 22.
