Caught in Her Own Web
After a stint in California, where she racked up a pile of lawsuits filed by men who say they lent her money but were never paid back, Sandra Powers switched from the West Coast to the East Coast and turned from rich men to religion. She also fabricated a fictitious history as a globe-trotting missionary for God.
She did marry once more, but her fourth husband left her after only a few months, claiming she had wrecked his finances and that she practiced "witchcraft."
In August 2005, Sandra hooked up with Sandy Hodgins, 60, at a Charlotte, N.C. church and allegedly bilked her out of a ton of cash.

Then she met Sue Moseley's sister and eventually moved in with Sue.
With all of Powers' financial shenanigans involving Moseley, the stage appears to have been set for another untimely death had it not been for the skepticism of a pair of real estate agents.
When they Googled Powers, the agents found links to a pair of articles about her in the Dallas Observer and discovered that in Dallas she was known as the Black Widow.
When Sue Moseley's son Jim found out about his mother's new caregiver's past and the $1,900 Powers had charged on a credit card in his mother's name, he contacted the police.
