WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Crime Library ) — It has been almost two weeks since Tara Lynn Grant, 34, was reported missing by her husband, and authorities still have no clues regarding her disappearance. Complicating the investigation is the lack of cooperation that police are receiving from Tara's husband.

Stephen Grant reported his wife missing on Feb. 14. According to statements made by Grant, the couple had an argument on the night of Feb. 9. about Tara's job with an international construction contractor and the amount of time she was spending away from him and their two young children. Grant said that, following the argument, at about 11:15 p.m., his wife walked out of the house, got into a dark sedan, and vanished.
According to sources in the Macomb County Sheriff's Department, Tara's credit cards have not been used and her cell phone has been turned off since the night of her disappearance. Investigators also said that none of the couple's neighbors recall seeing a black vehicle on that night.
"It's very suspect," Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackell told FOXNews.com yesterday. "There are a lot of questions still unanswered. No one has seen or heard from her since her husband last saw her .... Nobody seems to know where she's at."

On Feb. 16, a Macomb County sheriff's deputy arrested Stephen Grant for speeding and driving without a valid license. Following his arrest, he was brought in for booking, and released about four hours later. Grant's attorney, David Griem, told the Detroit Free Press that his client had been unjustly held, and interrogated about his wife's disappearance.
