Jonathan was careful not to identify the person in the video as a suspect in his father's murder, but he did say that the person on the video was someone whom authorities would like to talk to.
"I don't think he (the man in the video) looks terribly different; there are a lot of distinguishing features on him. We cannot say positively it is the same guy, but it is a young white male who bought physically this item with cash. Whoever that person is, he is not a suspect right now, but he is a person that police want to talk to."

For fear of jeopardizing the investigation, Jonathan would not identify the item that the man in the video purchased; however, he did say that the item served a specific purpose in the murder of his father.

"It was something he used in the crime. I can't really say what it was, only that it's not like duct tape or something you or I may need specifically."
Calls to Cmdr. Steven Peterson were not immediately returned, so it is not yet known whether the video footage has resulted in any new leads. The spokesperson deferred questions relating to specific details of the investigation.
