"The only additional information we have is that additional surveillance footage was released last week that may be related to the crime," a media spokesperson with the Chicago Police Department said, yesterday afternoon.  "That is the only new information we have at this time."

Jonathan Cornbleet said that he thinks that the new surveillance is of "great significance" to the case.  While he is not yet sure whether it will help catch his father's killer, he said that he has a lot of faith in the Chicago Police Department and its ability to catch the man responsible.

"I am confident an arrest will be made sometime soon," he said as the telephone interview came to a close.

On October 24, 2006, Dr. David Cornbleet was found dead on the floor of his office at 30 N. Michigan Ave.  An unknown assailant stabbed him multiple times, causing his death.  According to surveillance videos, the suspect was a Caucasian male, approximately 6 feet tall.  He was wearing a red baseball cap with an unidentifiable symbol on the front, a gray or cream-colored hooded jacket and either blue or black pants.  He also had a dark-colored messenger bag slung over his back.

Dr. David Cornbleet's murder remains unsolved.  Police say that they believe David knew his killer.  They also say that the suspect left "substantial" forensic evidence behind.  While they refuse to comment on any specific information, sources close to the investigation say that they have "several persons of interest."
