Unemployed British Computer Tech Quizzed in Death of Wife and Daughter. Jan, 27, 2006.
By Steve Huff
The Crime Library — WORKSOP, UK For nearly a week, innuendo and suspicion have trailed Neil Entwistle, a charming but underemployed computer tech who inexplicably, it seemed, hopped a plane to his native England in the hours before his wife and infant daughter were found slain in their comfortable Massachusetts home.
Authorities from Massachusetts trailed the 27-year-old as well, following him to England in the hopes that he may be able to shed some light on the killings.

And while they have steadfastly maintained that they have not designated him as a suspect in the execution style deaths of his family, they have called him a person of interest and said they wanted to chat with him.
They got their chance this morning.
About 10 a.m., police in Worksop, a town on the northern edge of Sherwood Forest in the county of Nottinghamshire, England, dropped by to visit Entwistle at his parents' home. A few moments later, the police left, with Neil Entwistle in tow, bound for the American Embassy. He was not under arrest, authorities in Britain were quick to point out and had agreed to talk with investigators from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, who wanted to quiz him about the death of his wife, Rachel, also 27, and their child, Lillian Rose, 9 months old.
Both were shot with a small-caliber weapon early in the morning on Jan. 22, Rachel in the abdomen and skull, baby Lillian in the stomach.
Though details of the conversation between Entwistle and the America detectives remain a closely guarded secret, there is little doubt that high up on the cops' agenda was this question: When did he decided to leave America, and why?
The cops might want to know how long Neil had been holed up at his parents' home in Worksop. And perhaps, if Neil Entwistle was willing to talk, they might delve into his online endeavors, some of which raised intriguing questions.
