The New Canaan Police Department traced the account to Hsu's home computer, and arrested him on March 2. Police believe Hsu targeted his victim because she had ended their love affair. Hsu was charged with trafficking in personal identifying information, attempted kidnapping-first degree, attempted sexual assault-third degree, reckless endangerment-first degree, criminal impersonation, and harassment-second degree.
According to Hsu's professional business profile on Zoominfo.com, he is married, has two teen-age children, and is Co-Founder, Managing Director, and Chief Investment Officer of Anchor Point Capital, LLC. The profile says that he graduated from Bronx High School of Science in New York City and received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, with minors in computer science and classical archaeology from the University at Albany in 1984.
