New Facts Uncovered In John Woodring Investigation -- Exclusive

By David Lohr

(Continued)

For the last several days I have been tracking Woody's activities at auction website eBay.  According to information I have uncovered, Woody apparently won a 1973 Chevrolet pick-up truck on Sept. 18th, the same day he allegedly murdered Bonnie.  The seller has not yet responded to my emails and neither he nor Woody has left feedback relating to the sale.

Woody was also bidding on another truck, which was located in Cumming, Georgia.  I found this somewhat interesting, as a recent tip received by America's Most Wanted had Woody heading for Georgia.  According to the AMW tipster, he helped jumpstart a silver van that was broken down along the road in Sweetwater, Tenn.  The tipster said he was certain the man he helped was Woody.  He said the man was with a woman and during the brief encounter he had mumbled something about hoping the van would make it to Georgia.

So that is twice in so many weeks that Georgia has come up.  We know Woody dropped off his getaway car in Knoxville, which is only 46 miles from Sweetwater.  It is almost a strait shot down I-75.  It would also have him heading south.  The truck he was bidding on was located in Cumming, Georgia, which is 143 miles from Sweetwater. It is also a pretty straight shot down I-75.

It is very likely that Bonnie's murder was premeditated, so Woody might have been bidding on the truck with the knowledge he would be heading that way. It would not make much sense to travel that far for a beat-up $1000 pick-up truck, unless he already had plans of heading that way to begin with.  Plus it sounds like he was looking for something cheap he could pay cash for.
