GREENVILLE, S.C.  (Crime Library) — With no suspects, no signs of a struggle and little physical evidence that might point to one, investigators probing the strangulation death of a 20-year-old Clemson University co-ed are poring over her personal computer looking for leads.

Investigators have released few details about the slaying of Tiffany Souers. According to published reports, her college roommate discovered the pretty young co-ed in their apartment Friday afternoon, authorities have said.

Souers, a native of Missouri, was wearing only a brassiere, and had been strangled, an autopsy concluded, apparently with the top of her bikini. Investigators believe that she probably died sometime shortly after 1 a.m., but so far, they have found few if any clues to the identity of her killer. There was no sign of forced entry into her apartment nor was there any indication that the young woman struggled with her attacker.

Authorities thus far have not speculated about the possible significance of the fact that she was slain with an intimate article of clothing.

The young woman, an engineering student and a junior, had just returned to Clemson for summer school after a two-week break. He grief stricken family told reporters for Missouri's KSKD TV that they had no idea who might want to harm the pretty and athletic young student.

With little else to go on at this early stage of the investigation, authorities told ABC News that they are combing through her personal computer, hoping to find clues that might help them reconstruct the woman's steps during the last few days and hours of her life.
