"We believe the man parked in the Harp's parking lot on the east side of the bank," Alma Police Chief Russell White said in an interview with the Press Argus-Courier.  "The suspect left on foot and we have no vehicle description, but we believe the vehicle was nearby."

From the start, the MO of the Geezer Gangster's robberies has been consistent.  The first robbery occurred on Jan. 8, at the US Bank in North Little Rock.  The next two banks hit were the First National Bank in Fort Smith and the Bank of the Ozarks in Van Buren, on Jan. 24 and Feb. 12 respectively.

"The problem with this guy," White said, "is that we do not know what he is driving, and when he is in his vehicle, he is in a safe harbor."

In a bold move, theFort Smith Police Department decided to set up a web page on the popular social networking site MySpace.com in hopes of finding someone who can identify their bandit.

"It's written as if the bank robber himself was writing it, but it's definitely written by police officers," Sgt. Jarrard Copeland told KFSM on Friday.
