In regards to the killer, Chief Hurley said they could not comment on whether they are focusing on any particular individual; however, he did say the killing was not a random act.
"It's not like we have an assassin running around the streets at night assassinating individuals in the valley area," he said. "That's not true. These individuals were targeted for a very specific reason, and that is something we are still looking into."

As the interview wound down, Chief Hurley made it a point to say that the investigation is proceeding and that they are still looking to the public for new leads.
"We are willing to accept any and all information and tips regarding the case. There is still a $100,000 reward out there, and we would like to resolve this thing as quickly as possible."
On November 17, David, 56, and Carol, 60, were both shot at point-blank range in their garage. Authorities have not yet released the autopsy report, but according to the death certificates, both David and Carol died as a result of "multiple gunshot wounds to the head."

The law firm of DeSisti and Keeffe is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murders of the Keeffes.
