A TROUBLED CHILDHOOD
The state of Oklahoma took Colt and his brother away from their natural parents more than three years ago following allegations of drug and sexual abuse.
"They saw and were involved in things that even adults shouldn't know about," Rebecca Clark told the Seminole Producer newspaper.
According to the Producer, the boys' biological mother was in jail earlier this year—although the paper did not say on what charges—while the father was in a drug rehab program.

After the state took the boys away from their parents, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services asked the boys' uncle, James Rex Clark, and his wife, Rebecca, to serve as foster parents.
On an Internet blog begun to help find Colt, a person who identified herself as Rebecca Clark posted a message that read: "The fact is, yes, my children were abused horrifically. There was child pornography, neglect, physical, emotional, mental abuse and prostitution."
In another post, the person claiming to be Rebecca Clark wrote, "The boys further stated that the parents prostituted them to pay off drug debts."
The two brothers, both born with different names, took the names Colt Levi River Clark and Homer Justice Levi Clark. Rebecca Clark claims her foster sons chose the names themselves for symbolic reasons.
New names or not, the boys' problems persisted, especially Colt's. "He was ornery," Rebecca Clark was quoted as saying. "He wasn't a troubled child, but he had had a hard life." She said she home schooled Colt because he didn't fit in at school. "People thought he was retarded, but he just had different interests."
According to Clark, when Colt first came to live with them he hurt animals. He also stole things: cash from her and beer from a neighbor.
