In the first incident, a passenger in a pickup truck was shot and killed while traveling south on I-65. As police raced to the scene of that shooting, a second man reported that he had been shot and wounded while traveling along the same highway. Two hours later and fifty miles away, a truck driver on I-69 reported that his rig had been hit by sniper fire, and an hour after that, a vehicle parked along side the road was also struck by at least one bullet.
