SUGAR LAND, Tx. (Crime Library) — Two men, friends of slain student Ashton Glover, who vanished last week just hours after the teen's partially buried body was recovered in Sugarland, Texas, have been arrested nearly 1,500 miles away in Michigan after trying to slip across the Canadian border

Matthew Ross McCombs, an 18-year-old who once boasted on his MySpace Page that he aspired to be a killer and that his goal for this year was to "not get caught," was arrested Wednesday along with Sean Huston Brown, also 18. Both are charged with murder and are awaiting extradition from Michigan, authorities said.

The arrests cap a five-day search that began on Saturday when the 16-year-old Glover vanished. Searchers scoured the area surrounding Sugar Land later the same day. Glover's vehicle, a maroon 2004 Ford Ranger pickup, also vanished that night. Security videotape showed a shadowy figure driving the truck away from where Glover left it parked at It's a Grind Coffee Shop in Sugar Land.

A construction crew preparing to lay utility lines for a new housing development discovered Ashton Glover's partially-buried remains in Fort Bend County, TX on July 10^th. Her truck was found the same day, parked on a suburban side-street, not far from her home.

Autopsy results announced 2 days after her body was found indicated that there was evidence of blunt-force trauma to Glover's head, and that she had a broken arm. The autopsy also showed that Ashton Glover was not sexually assaulted.

Original reports about Glover's disappearance stated that she was last seen getting into a white Toyota pickup with two males, one of them possibly known to her.

Fort Bend County Sheriff Milton Wright told Houston-area press on Wednesday that McCombs and Brown lied to investigators when they stated that they saw Glover get into the white pickup.
