Since the shooting, friends and family members have created a makeshift memorial in front of the house where the shootings took place. Cards, flowers, and stuffed animals surround a nearby tree.
According to police, Jasmine has been upgraded from serious to good condition. So now, at an age where she should be learning to form whole sentences and complete simple tasks, this little girl will also have the difficult task of trying to understand why she will never again see her mother, father, or baby brothers. In comparison, that task may prove to be far more painful than her physical injuries.
