GOASO, Ghana — Last week, an angry mob attacked and murdered Anthony Yeboah-Boateng because they suspected that he was a serial killer. Today, police arrested 10 women and 21 men in connection with the lynching. According to investigators, Yeboah-Boateng, a Goaso Government Hospital administrator, was transporting a dead body to the hospital when a group of people noticed the deceased and assumed that he was a serial killer responsible for a string of unsolved murders that recently had taken place in the area. The group pulled Yeboah-Boateng from his vehicle and beat him to death. Police say that they will continue to make arrests until everyone involved is held accountable.

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Louisiana Supreme Court has upheld the conviction and death sentence of serial killer Daniel Blank. Blank was convicted in 1999 for the murders of five people. One of his victims was a 72-year-old woman whom he beat to death after breaking into her home. Blank was suspected in at least one other murder, but for reasons unknown, prosecutors chose not to charge him with a sixth murder.

| CANADA — A Bernardo-Homolka fan club website has been removed voluntarily from the Internet. Last month, users of the social networking website Facebook were shocked when they discovered a user group titled "The Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka Fan Club." One of the group's hot topics dealt with the VHS tapes that Bernardo had taken of their victims' rape and murder. Members of the community expressed anger that the Crown destroyed the tapes and felt that they should have been made available to the public. The club's creator, Justin Jones, a university student from Michigan, defended his club and said that he had a right to free speech. Despite thousands of complaints, Facebook administrators refused to remove the site. Giving in to demanding pressure from those opposed to the site, Jones finally relented, this week, and voluntarily took the site down. |

| New Westminster, British Columbia — An expert testifying at the trial of suspected serial killer Robert Pickton testified that an item taken from Pickton's trailer, a handgun with a dildo attached to it, contained the DNA of Mona Wilson. The expert also testified that Wilson's DNA was found in bloodstains inside the trailer. Pickton is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of six women. Following this trial, he will be tried on an additional 20 counts of murder. |
