Psychics Arrested
Sean David Morton
Sean David Morton
Calling himself "America's Prophet," Sean David Morton allegedly scammed $6 million out of investors in Delphi Investment Group, which he ran in California. According to court documents, Morton falsely advertised his prior success in predicting the highs and lows of the stock market. Over 100 investors who apparently credited Morton's clairvoyance lost money in the scheme. Before his arrest, Morton "donated" about $240,000 of the money to Prophecy Research Institute, his own organization run by his wife. The Securities Exchange Commission charged Morton with multiple counts of securities fraud in March 2010.
