Murder on Circle Drive

Aerial Shot of Ewell Home

Two days after the 1992 Easter holiday, a pair of detectives was called out to a rather reclusive, plush home in Sunnyside. It was easy to tell right off the bat that the scene wasn't going to turn out to be some sort of set for a television movie. Yet a crime drama seemed a hell of a lot easier to deal with than what was awaiting investigators from the Fresno County Sheriff's Department inside the East Park Circle Drive home: a horror so deplorable and violent inside what was a rather comfortable, warm home, that it was almost too gruesome to consider.

Three bodies, dispatch had reported.

Three human beings.

Dead.

All terribly bloodied.

What's worse, they were members of the same family.

Dale, Glee and Tiffany Ewell. All well-liked. Distinguished. Pleasant people.

All shot dead as if some maniac had chased them throughout the house and made a game out of killing.
