You are in: NOTORIOUS MURDERS/ANGELS OF DEATH
Welcome to our tour of Savannah Haunted Crime Scenes.

Hi, I'm Marilyn Bardsley here in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. We're going to take you on a video tour of haunted crime scenes in Savannah. Why Savannah? Savannah is America's most haunted city. And here we are in Monterey Square just across the street from Mercer House where the notorious Jim Williams killed his young lover, Danny Hansford.

As we filmed these haunted crime scenes, we got a few big surprises. Even though we weren't looking for ghosts, we may have found some — mysterious orbs and voices at the scene of a murder-suicide and a voice at Danny Hansford's grave.

Just across the street from where a famous American poet experienced his mother's murder and father's suicide, we'll have investigative reporter Chuck Hustmyre talk with local historian David Rousseau about the murder of Samuel Baker in the Colonial Park Cemetery.

We will also visit the Hampton-Lillibridge House, reputedly the most haunted house in Savannah and the scene of an exorcism.

Later, we will take you to three haunted crime scenes that are now popular Savannah restaurants. The ghosts seem happy to coexist with tourists and locals eating, drinking and having a good time.

For the last part of our tour, we'll leave the historic downtown with its beautifully restored homes and its magnificent squares and go across the Savannah River to Hutchinson Island where a young woman and her lover plotted to kill their benefactor.  Then we'll take a ride out into the countryside where the handsome schoolmaster and his girlfriend were killed as they planned to elope.

As we come back towards the city, we'll stop at the tiny village of Pin Point, the birthplace of Justice Clarence Thomas, where a young wife lost her life. And finally, we will end our tour at the famous Bonaventure Cemetery, another famous scene from the Midnight movie and the setting for some wonderful stories.
