In discussing the case with News.ninemsn.com.au, Dinah's 68-year-old father, Ian McNicol, said he wants to know what happened to his daughter, whether "it be happy or unhappy."
"Someone missing is worse than someone dying," McNicol said. "I lost my wife in a car accident in 1980. I got over it but with Dinah, I can't get over it because I don't know what happened.
"Ninety-nine per cent of me thinks she has been murdered but there's just that 1 per cent that doesn't know. I want to die in peace knowing what happened to my daughter."
Police believe former resident, Peter Britton Tobin, buried the skeletal remains in the garden.

Born in Hohnstone, Renfrewshire in 1946, Tobin was the youngest of eight children. In 1953, at the age of seven, Tobin received his first taste of disciplinary action when he was sent to reform school for being a problem child. Twelve years later, Tobin was again in trouble for an undisclosed incident, for which he was placed in a young offender institution.
In 1968, Tobin moved to Glasgow and met 17-year-old Margaret Macintosh. The two were married the following year and settled in Brighton. The marriage soon ended in divorce and in 1973, Tobin married Sylvia Jeffries. The couple had two children together, both of whom died.
