Jack Unterweger: In 1993, Unterweger was found guilty of committing nine murders and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. On the night of his conviction, Unterweger hung himself with a rope fashioned from shoelaces and the trousers of a prison jumpsuit, using the same knot he had used on his victims.
