| VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Accused serial killer Robert Pickton, 57, is still waiting for his day in court. According to Canadian news sources, the delay is a result of the Crown and the defense attorneys' inability to work together. Earlier this year they decided to prosecute Pickton in two separate trials, the first with six counts of murder and a second with the remaining 20 counts of murder. However, now the Crown and defense cannot agree on a final trial plan. Regardless, the court has ordered jury selection to begin next month. |

| JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Serial killer Paul Durousseau's attorneys have asked for a continuance, so they can have DNA tests conducted for use in his defense. Durousseau was arrested in 2003 and charged with the murders of five women dating back to 1999. If the court agrees to the delay, the trial will most likely be continued until early next year. |

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - A jury in Rochester has begun hearing testimony against suspected serial killer Robert Spahalski. It was just last year when Spahalski walked into police headquarters and confessed to killing a man by the name of Vivian Irrizarry. Spahalski was not unknown to investigators, as he was already considered a suspect in at least three other unsolved murders. During questioning, Spahalski allegedly confessed to those murders as well. Regardless of his guilt, Spahalski is dying of AIDS and will most likely serve very little time behind bars.
LEXINGTON, K.Y. - A judge in Fayette County has ordered suspected serial killer Robert Franklin Smallwood, 32, be bound over to a grand jury. According to court documents, Smallwood was arrested in September and charged with three counts of murder, two counts of rape, one charge of sodomy and various other misdemeanor counts. During his Thursday court appearance, it was revealed that one of Smallwood's rape victims was an 83-year-old retired schoolteacher.
