Houssein Zorkot

The message Houssein Zorkot put on his personal Web site left no doubt as to his intentions on Sept. 8, just three days before the nation commemorated the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. The Start of My Personal Jihad (in the US).

Other lone jihadists have sent similar messages as part of their own personal holy war against America.

In August 2006, 29-year-old Omeed Aziz Popal, a Muslim from Afghanistan, mowed down 14 people with his black Honda SUV during a 20-minute kamikaze-style attack in San Francisco before police cornered and arrested him. One victim, whom Popal ran over earlier in the day, died.
