When police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they performed CPR on Erin, but they were unable to revive her and she was later pronounced dead at Reid Hospital.
Six days later, on September 7, police were again called to the Stanley home, at which time they found Erin's sister, 18-year-old Kelly Stanley, unresponsive. Paramedics were unable to revive her and she died at the scene.
"It is kind of strange circumstances that you find two deaths in the same home within just a few days of each other," state police Sgt. Noel Houze told Theindychannel.com.

According to county officials, the 911 call from September 7 is not available. It was allegedly not recorded due to a problem with the recording equipment at the dispatch center.
