Cops turn to cell phone records to trace suicide mom's movements
What's more, authorities reportedly disclosed that Melinda Duckett had sent a rambling, abusive message, written under her estranged husband's name, to one of her own Internet accounts, further fueling speculation about her actions and state of mind in the days leading to the child's Aug. 27 disappearance.
Duckett, who had been embroiled in a bitter custody dispute with Joshua Duckett, told police that she had spent the day with the child at nearby Ocala National Forest and had put him to bed around 7 p.m., returning to his room about two hours later to find that the screen to his window had been tampered with and he was missing. Early on, authorities ruled out Joshua Duckett as a suspect.

In an effort to track her movements on the day of Trenton's disappearance, authorities have been trying to piece together the record of Melinda Duckett's cell phone use in the two weeks between the time the child vanished and Melinda Duckett's suicide, but so far, that has failed to yield significant clues, according to published reports.
