According to police, Harris works for a private security company at Kennedy Airport. Hence, the purchases are obviously not job-related.
The motive behind Harris' alleged criminal acts appears to revolve around revenge for alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of Goodridge. While she does not detail any of those alleged abuses in any of her online profiles, she has apparently discussed them with her close friends. Yesterday, one of her MySpace friends, identified only as "[[ALY]] love it," posted the following message to her blog:
"Over a period of time, karma doesn't seek revenge but justice. And within time, I've noticed everyone has tasted their share of karma. Some [people] get disfigured for life. Others pay the harsh fate of death. In the end, justice is sought out, if not in this life, then in the next. My prayers go out to Brigget and all those who have shared a similar fate that she went threw, such as myself and many others. It's time for women to speak out against such abuse."

According Goodridge's relatives, he emigrated from the West African nation of Liberia to the United States during the 1970s. He married Harris' mother during the 1980s, but the marriage later ended in divorce. According to police, Goodridge was arrested in 1978 for reckless endangerment and in 1982 for menacing. At this time, no further details are available on either arrest.
Following Goodridge's divorce from Harris' mother, he remarried, but his second wife died five years ago. In speaking with NYdailynews.com yesterday, Goodridge's mother-in-law from his second marriage admitted she had heard the rumors of abuse but said she did not believe they were true.
"I would die if I could believe that," she said. "He wouldn't pay child support, but I wouldn't believe that."
