The only comments on Kevin Newland's page were from Darien West, joking, flirtatious messages left on June 14, 2006.

Jamie Lynn Drake's page at www.myspace.com/jamielynn112 had begun to turn into a memorial for the 19-year-old brunette early on June 30th.

Early in the afternoon on the 30th, someone using the screen name *Ash*, who had changed her profile photo to one of Jamie Lynn Drake's senior photos from high school, left these words for Jamie Lynn:

"You are in the hands of God now, sweet Angel, know that you are loved. We will see each other again. I love you."

Two hours later, a friend named Chelsea posted:

"I'm going to miss you . . . I am so glad that I was given the chance to have you brought into my life . . . I will keep my memories close . . . [You're] safe now . . . I will be seeing you again . . ."

Kevin Wayne Newland is still being held in Spokane on the stolen property charge, and additional criminal charges will likely be filed against Newland in the near future in relation to the discovery of Jamie Lynn Drake's remains.
