JACKSONVILLE, Fla. A jury of seven women and five men deliberated for 81/2 hours Friday before finding accused serial killer Paul Durousseau, 36, guilty in the 1999 rape, robbery, and murder of Tyresa Mack, 24.  The jury will return on June 26 for the penalty phase of the trial.  Durousseau still faces trials in six other murder cases, dating back to 1997.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — In March eight human skeletons were discovered in a wooded lot just 25 feet from Arcadia Street in east Fort Myers.  Earlier this week, investigators held a press conference regarding the discovery.  According to a team of forensic anthropologists, all of the remains belonged to white men, 18 to 49, who died sometime between 1980 and 2000.  Police now say their next step is to identify the remains.  "After that we can move forward with a theory," Police Chief Hilton Daniels said.  "We have a lot of theories right now.  We have not ruled out a funeral home having dumped these bodies and we have not ruled out a serial killer.  After we identify these people we'll have a better idea."

TORONTO, Canada According to Sun Media investigators are interviewing Paul Bernardo about the murder of 22-year-old Liz Bain.  The former U of T student disappeared on June 19, 1990.  Police suspect Bain was murdered — due to the amount of blood found in her car — but her body has never been recovered.  Bain's former boyfriend, 41-year-old Robert Baltovich, is accused of the crime, but Baltovich's lawyers suspect Bernardo is responsible for Bain's murder.  The Crown considers Bernardo's involvement unlikely.  Bernardo is already serving a life sentence for the murders of Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French.
