Search Continues for Missing Mom Deidre Harm

by Seamus McGraw

As a result, it fell to Deidre to tend to the baby, and she did it with zeal. While her relationship with her own mother had, according to Scott Harm, been distant, at least since her parents' divorce while Deidre in high school, Deidre was deeply attached to baby Vegas, her father said. There is, in his mind, simply no way that Deidre, a generally fun-loving and exuberant young woman who had exhibited no signs of depression or fatigue in the days leading up to her disappearance, would have walked out on her baby.

That leaves open a chilling possibility in Scott Harm's mind: that something terrible happened to his little girl.

In the days since she vanished, Scott Harm has been scouring the streets of Wisconsin Rapids, carrying his infant granddaughter with him as he searches for clues to the whereabouts of his daughter.

"It's been bad for a long time," he said. But he is not giving up hope. Someone, somewhere, saw something, he believes, and sooner or later, one way or another, his daughter will find her way home.
