LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (Crime Library) — Last week, I brought you the story of 21-year-old Lewis James Wilczek, a young and successful business owner who was murdered by Jeremy Jason Hull, 24, as part of a poorly planned identity theft scheme.  Since that time, the suspect's girlfriend, who has not yet been identified, has provided several details of the murder to police, including an admission that she was partially involved in some aspects of the crime.

According to search warrants filed in Mille Lacs County District Court, Hull's girlfriend told police that on April 29, she saw Lewis' body wrapped in a blanket.  She admitted to helping Hull dispose of the body and told police she had entered Hull's apartment after police sealed it, taking clothing and a computer.  She later turned the items over to the authorities.  Despite her admissions, she has not been charged as an accessory.

If you do the math, Hull's girlfriend knew about the murder for nearly a week before police found Lewis' charred remains.  The entire time the Wilczek family was making desperate pleas for information, she knew Lewis was dead, and she said nary a word.  Could that have had anything to do with the fact that she herself benefited from keeping her mouth shut?  This is a distinct possibility.  After all, her boyfriend did steal Lewis' identity, and he did transfer $50,000 from Lewis' savings account to his checking account, giving him full access to the funds.
