DENISON, Texas (Crime Library) —   It has been four days since anyone has seen 17-year-old Sean Isaac Fryar.  Police continue to go door to door in the community asking questions and looking for clues.  Family and friends are sick with worry, and everyone is anxious for his safe return.

Sean went missing early in the morning this past Sunday.  According to friends, Sean and a small group of teens hung out together at a friend's house in Brookhaven Circle after their high school prom.  Sean had been drinking and was upset about his father's death and the recent loss of a best friend.  At about 2 a.m., he left, telling one of his friends that he was going for a walk around Waterloo Lake.

Yesterday, a classmate of Sean's sent Crime Library an email about his disappearance.  Speaking under the promise of anonymity, the friend had this to say: 

"He had been drinking and got pretty emotional.  He said he needed to go for a walk and just think about things.  <Redacted> tried to stop him, but he (Sean) was going to do what he wanted.  They told him that the lake has holes and places he would fall down and hurt himself, but he wasn't worried, so they told him he could go to the smaller pond and then come straight back.  If he was not back in an hour, they would go looking for him.  After he left, they fell asleep and didn't wake up until 5 o'clock that morning."

The Denison Police Department was notified of Sean's disappearance at about 1 p.m.  Since then, they have spent the last four days searching for him.  Helicopters have searched from the air, divers have searched nearby waters and over 100 volunteers have searched the woods surrounding the lake. 

According to Lt. Michael Eppler, his department is exploring every avenue in their search for Sean.

"We have conducted a lot of interviews, and we have been actively searching the lake area," Lt. Eppler said during a telephone interview with Crime Library yesterday afternoon.  "We have had a lot of assistance from parks and the wildlife department and their game wardens."

Despite all their efforts, neither Sean nor any of his belongings have been found.  The only possible trace of him came on Monday when a bloodhound picked up a scent.
