According to an article in Tuesday's edition of The Advocate, Hsu was arrested in 2000 for disorderly conduct in a domestic violence incident that involved his wife; however, those charges were later dropped.

Yesterday, New Canaan Police Chief, Ed Nadriczny, told Crime Library that a ruling by the Norwalk Superior Court has limited what information his department can share.

"The court has ordered all affidavits and reports sealed in the Albert Hsu case," Nadriczny said. "Therefore, we cannot release anything other than the standard name, address, charges and a small amount of detail."

News of Hsu's case has spread like wildfire over the Internet. Even users at Collarme.com are posting messages to their boards about it. In one message posted Tuesday, a user with the screen name behonestwithme wonders how many people on the boards responded to Hsu's deceptive ad.

"Did anyone see the article in today's NY Post on pg 5 pertaining to what a husband did to his wife by posting an ad on Collarme," he writes.  "Might want to check it out and than wonder if you are one of the ones who might have answered it. I am honest and up front because as a single liberal adult although I don't flaunt it in the vanilla world I am what I am. Knowing the amount of phonies out there I wonder if this latest (like the recent "Friendfinder" scandal") will have some of the less than honest Doms who might have answered that ad sort of feeling like a, I don't know, maybe feeling like a sub?"

At this time, police remain concerned for the victim's safety. According to a spokesperson for the department, the woman may still be in danger because they do not know who got her information from the personal ad before it was deleted. They are also concerned that Hsu may have placed the same ad to other Web sites on the Internet. Until police can determine she is out of danger, they are providing protection for the victim.

Hsu is scheduled to return to court on March 14.
