Page was charged with simple and indecent assault of a child, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.  Following his arrest he was placed in the Allegheny County Jail, in lieu of a $25,000 straight bond.  According to authorities, he is being questioned by behavioral specialists and is scheduled to make his first court appearance tomorrow.

On Saturday morning the Pennsylvania State Police issued an Amber Alert for Nyia after her parents reported her missing from her home.  The following day searchers discovered her body in an abandoned playground, just over four city blocks from where she had disappeared.

Local residents have made a small memorial for Nyia.  Teddy bears and notes of love are clustered by a small tree overlooking the spot where her body was found.  Since Sunday, dozens of people have gathered at the location to mourn the little girl's loss.  "You're safe with the angels in heaven now," one note reads.  "No one will ever hurt you again."
