The family's attorney, Wayne McGrew, is coordinating the search efforts with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  According to McGrew, the family is offering a $5,000 reward for the successful location and return of Arley.

"This past Friday, police organized a traffic check point, where they were handing out flyers with her name and picture," McGrew said.  "They are trying to get more information and publicity to it to see if it will jog anyone's memory." 

In regard to whether or not police are considering foul play, McGrew said, "To my knowledge, nothing has been ruled out."

The investigating officer, Latrobe Police Ptl. Michael Wigand, was unavailable for comment. However, in a recent interview with the Tribune-Review, he said his department is doing everything they can to locate Arley.

"In view that no one appears to have had any contact with Miss Earhart since Jan. 5, we have consulted with Pennsylvania State Police and Westmoreland County detectives. We have worked speaking with friends, family, teachers, and even looked at surveillance tapes and cellular telephone records, but nothing at all to explain her disappearance has popped up as of yet," said Wigand.

Arley has Internet profiles on both MySpace and Xanga.  Her Xanga profile has not been updated since October 2005, and she has not logged onto her MySpace account since August 2, 2006.  The profiles are pretty typical of most teenage girls, and nothing stands out as unusual.  I messaged some of the people on her friends list to see if they had any information about her disappearence.  A few people replied; however, they did not have much to offer as far as where Arley might be.
