GSR and Tylenol

While the autopsy report indicates gunshot residue in and around the head wound, it did not indicate the presence of gunshot residue (GSR) on Melinda's hands, feet or anywhere else. Other anomalies are revealed as well.

Early reports indicated that Melinda was identified by a picture of a tattoo provided by the Eubanks due to the destruction of identifying facial features from the shotgun blast. The autopsy report however indicates that Melinda was positively identified using dental records provided by Dr. Cohrn, although the tattoos were clearly hers.

While the resulting toxicology report indicates Melinda tested negative for controlled substances, associate medical examiner, Christena L. Roberts, MD, noted "Acetaminophen Intoxication" as one of the two "pathological findings." The other was "Gunshot Wound to the Head." The brand name for Acetaminophen is Tylenol.

Reports are now surfacing that strongly suggest that Melinda had found someone to care for Trenton during the custody battles and other possible legal issues that she was facing. If Melinda did, in fact, commit suicide, which authorities believe, what was the motive if she knew Trenton was safe?  And what about the two spent shells?

This is a very complicated case with many facets.
